5 ACC member candidates registered
Until September 23, in the Parliamentary Committee for culture, science, youth, sports and mass media the files of 5 candidates for the position of member of the Audiovisual Coordination Council (ACC) were received.
A source from the committee told Info-Prim Neo that the application process has only begun. The names of the candidates were not made official. The cited source communicated that the applications are processed, and the meeting of the committee to make the final decision will take place after October 10.
According to the Audiovisual Code, the function of ACC member is available to any person with a university degree and with at least 5 year experience in broadcasting, communication technologies, law, finances, accounting, enterprise management fields or elaboration of programs in any creation institutes. Other requirements are the age between 25 and legal retirement age; knowledge of the state language; lack of penal record.
The ACC members should be chosen during two months from the signing of the new Audiovisual Code, meaning until October 18. The MPs have 5 working days so that the members of the specialized and juridical committees select the candidates, and then the candidates must be approved in a legislative sitting with the vote of at least three fifths of the MPs.
