Eleven higher education institutions, ten national consortiums, an international consortium and three partnerships will have the right to organize doctoral studies, IPN reports, quoting a Government decision by which the temporary functioning of 43 doctoral schools and their doctoral programs are authorized.

These were selected by the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Professional Education following the assessment of the 46 files submitted in this regard. Among the main arguments invoked by the assessors for rejecting the authorization of three doctoral schools are the insufficient number of employees for coordinating the activity of doctoral students, lack of bachelor-master-doctorate continuity and the incomplete information provided.

The education institutions are authorized to organize doctoral studies in accordance with the Education Code and other related normative documents.
