4 offices in City Hall quarters disputed by Chirtoaca and Musuc
The PR Direction of the Chisinau City Hall announces that 4 offices in the quarters of the City Hall have been abusively occupied last night. The chairman of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), Eduard Musuc, says “it's a legal action through which the CMC;s decision of July 31 is carried out,” Info-Prim Neo reports.
A communique issued by the PR Direction reads “last night, 4 unidentified people intruded the City Hall quarters and replaced the locks of offices 44, 46, 47 and 48, a fact established this morning by the servants coming to work and not being able to enter their offices.”
Moreover, a police post was established near those offices, although the City Hall and the Interior Ministry do not have a due contract. General Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca called for the police dialing 902. But several minutes after the arrival of four police to investigate, they left without making any statements, the communique reads.
Asked by Info-Prim Neo to comment the incident, the CMC chairman, Eduard Musuc has said “everything is legal,” and “the actions were not done at night, but in the morning.” “Abusively the offices have not being freed till now,” Musuc says. When asked about the police post near the offices, the CMC chairman has said “it's a post established on the basis of a contract concluded with the police last week.”
The disputed offices were used to deputy mayor Mihai Furtuna and other functionaries. Eduard Musuc asked that the rooms were freed for the chancellery of the CMC chairman. The CMC adopted a decision in this respect on July 31. Although the general mayor proposed Eduard Musuc other offices, he rejected those.
