Maib continues to provide financial support to Ukrainian citizens who took refuge in the Republic of Moldova, following the outbreak of armed attacks on the territory of the neighbouring country. Thus, following the commitment announced at the beginning of March, the leader of the banking sector in the Republic of Moldova has donated until now 4 475 217 lei in the special account opened by the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

In September, the seventh transfer is made in the amount o 573 080 lei. 523 683 lei represents the money collected from transactions made with maib cards in August and maib customers and employees donated 49 397 lei to the special “Help Ukraine” account through maibank and at self-service terminals

In the first six months after the start of the war, the bank donated 3, 902, 137 lei  for the daily needs of Ukrainian refugees in all districts of the Republic of Moldova.

Monthly, maib transfers a fixed amount for each transaction made with a debit or credit card issued by the bank and for each payment made at any POS terminal and in the e-commerce network. Thus, maib cardholders who wish to support this initiative are encouraged to use their cards as often as possible to increase the amount donated to the refugees' support fund.
