Almost 390 workers were daily involved in the cleaning works in Chisinau last week. Also, with the help of Hako machines and vacuum leaf collectors attached to tractors, the main and secondary streets and sidewalks were cleaned in a mechanized way, shows the report on the first week of the autumn cleanup campaign carried out by the General Housing and Amenities Division of Chisinau, IPN reports.

The Division’s head Ion Burdiumov said that the workers clean public spaces, courtyards of apartment buildings, playgrounds and sports fields, garbage platforms, public transport waiting stations.

The teams of working mowed the grass and collected the dry leaves in all the districts and loaded vegetative waste to 30 special vehicles with the help of Avant loaders. In total, the trucks performed 208 trips to take the construction waste, dry leaves and branches away.

At the same time, kiosks, gates, fences and anti-parking devices were demolished on a number of public lots. Worn metal elements were taken away from playgrounds set up in yards of residential buildings, the Division noted in its weekly report.
