367,000 lei to be spent on new elections on November 11
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) on Tuesday, October 23, allocated 367,500 lei to rerun local elections on November 11 in Rezina district and Drasliceni Village in Criuleni.
The Commission also accredited 5 observers to the polls. Two of them are international observers proposed by the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, who will monitor the elections in Rezina.
CEC also voted for the creation of first-level electoral constituencies in Albina Village in Cimislia and Bugeac Village, part of Gagauzia, for the elections which will be held in these localities on December 9.
The residents of Drasliceni will elect the new head of the village because the mayor who won the general local elections died. In Rezina, new elections of the district council were announced because the one elected on June 3 repeatedly failed to meet.
