A group of peacekeepers received awards and diplomas from the leadership of the General Staff at a solemn ceremony that marked the 32nd anniversary of the introduction of the Mixed Peacekeeping Forces in the Security Zone.
The event took place at the 3rd Independent Infantry Battalion of the Peacekeeping Forces (FMP) in Coșnița, Dubăsari district, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebrian and Col. Sergiu Voinu, Deputy Chief of the National Army’s General Staff.
Col. Sergiu Voinu thanked the soldiers of the National Army who, since 1992, “perform their service in the peacekeeping mission in the eastern districts of the Republic of Moldova, continue to do their duty with professionalism, honor and dignity, being a guarantor of stability in the region”, according to a press release from the Ministry of Defense.
