3 political parties ask OSCE to resume discussions on Russian military presence in Moldova
Three political parties from Moldova lodged an appeal to the OSCE mission in Chisinau Friday, addressed to the OSCE Ministerial Council to take place in Helsinki, Finland, from December 4 to 5, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The appeal has been signed by Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), the European Action Movement (MAE) and the National Liberal Party (PNL).
According to a communique issued by PLDM, through the document, those parties want to notify the high OSCE forum on the military presence of the Russian Federation on Moldova and to ask the participants to resume the discussions on the issue.
The signatories also demand to step up the efforts directed toward Russian decision-makers to immediate honor the commitments Russia made at the OSCE summit in Istanbul in 1999 to fully withdraw its military and ammunition from the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
