As many as 247 infections with COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova on June 3, by 59 more than a day before. The number of infections since the start of the pandemic rose to 8,795. Of these, 3,622 are active cases, IPN reports.
A number of 249 patients are in a serious state and 21 of them were put on a ventilator.
The health authorities reported also three new deaths. The battle with the virus was lost by a man aged 63 from Bălți, a man aged 80 from Chisinau and a 76-year-old woman from Călărași district.
The death toll from COVID-19 now stands at 310.
The number of persons who recovered increased to 4,863 after 125 cured patients were discharged from the hospital on June 3.
