230 M lei to be spent to build roads in 2009 from Road Fund
166.85 million lei from the Roads Fund will be spent this year to repair and maintain national roads. 64.50 million lei will be spent for local-scale roads. 19 million will be spent to paint the marking and erect traffic signs, 16 million of which for national roads. 21 million lei will be used to maintain roads in winter, as 30 million to repair road cleaning equipment, Info Prim Neo reports.
Construction Minister Vladimir Baldovici says two portion of roads will be repaired this year on the Chisinau-Soroca motorway leading to the Ukrainian border and other two segments on the Chisinau – Ungheni – Sculeni road leading to Romania, plus segments of roads on Otaci –Edinet, Soroca Arionesti –Mogilev-Podolsk (Ukraine) motorways on two portions on Hancesti – Leova – Cahul – Slobozia–Mare road.
A decision adopted by the Government notes that the financing of those works will be allocated as means get into the Road Fund. The procurements to realize the Program on repairing and maintaining roads will be made through tenders.
