2/3 of Moldova’s total budget for 2006 belongs to consolidated budget of Chisinau
The share of the consolidated budget of Chisinau municipality in the total budget of Moldova made up 66% in 2006. As the head of the economy, reforms and patrimonial relations Division Valentina Merla states, in 2000 the budget of Chisinau municipality in the budget of Moldova made up 50%, while in 2005 – 62.6%.
In 2006, the tax payers in Chisinau transferred to the consolidated budget of Chisinau about 4.14 bln lei, which is an increase of 1.18 bln compared to the indexes registered in 2005.
Last year, the transfers in the municipal budget totalled about 1.4 bln lei, which is a 335 mln increase compared with the indexes of 2005, or made up over 30%. In 2006, there were spent 1.9 bln lei from the budget of Chisinau municipality. This is a 44.9% increase in comparison with 2005.
In Chisinau, 2.43 bln were paid in the social insurance budget. By comparison, the revenues were by 448 mln lei higher than the previous year. Chisinau accounted for the social insurance budget in a 58% proportion.
The health insurance budget was set at about 313. 3 mln lei in 2006, increasing by 27.2% compared to the indexes of the previous year.
