2022 speeding drivers and 23 drunk drivers caught by police on weekend

Over 2,000 speeding drivers were identified by the police over the weekend. 23 drivers were removed from the wheel of the vehicle as they were in a state of alcoholic or opioid intoxication. In total, the number of those who were caught violating the traffic rules on the weekend exceeded 3,500, IPN reports.

The General Police Inspectorate said that almost 700 drivers did not respect the priority road signs and red signals of the traffic lights, and almost 60 were driving without a seat belt.

As many as 563drivers stopped the means of transport in prohibited places and 98 drove the vehicle without technical inspection certificate and motor liability insurance policy.

Over 100 drivers did not give legal priority to pedestrians, and 30 were penalized for breaking the right to drive rules.

Traffic police inspectors dealt with 237 requests received through the 112 Service.
