2 358 people from Chisinau municipality are on the waiting list for tickets for balneosanatorium treatment. Vladimir Bolocan, the deputy head of the General Directorate for Medical and Social Assistance, told a meeting held at the City Hall that several petitions and complaints from citizens have been received lately regarding the issuance of sanatorium tickets, IPN reports.

According to Vladimir Bolocan, during the hearings, citizens ask to be told why they are waiting for a long time to receive a ticket. Six years ago 2 902 tickets were issued, but last year -834.

The deputy for social assistance in the capital said that for 2025 the budget allocated for these expenses has been reduced by 10 million lei, which may lead to a decrease in the number of beneficiaries.
