17 passengers who suffered less serious injuries in yesterday's bus crash in Romania, including two children, have been brought back home today. 14 other passengers remain hospitalized in the Romanian county of Braila, IPN reports.
Three specialists from the Moldovan Service for Emergencies have been deployed to Braila to provide assistance to families and recover identity papers, among other things.
A bus carrying 36 Moldovan nationals on route from Turkey to Chisinau overturned yesterday on a rain-slicked road in Braila. Three children, 5, 14 and 15, were killed in the crash. A woman was initially reported killed as well, but the information wasn't confirmed eventually. The victims include two teenage siblings, a boy and a girl. Their mother has been admitted to hospital.
The driver, a Turkish national, escaped with minor injuries and will face criminal charges after the county authorities initiated proceedings for manslaughter.
