The National House of Social Insurance on August 12 transferred the money that is to be distributed as allowances for families with children and paternal allowances, social assistance and cold-month allowances, material aid, compensation to participants in the Chernobyl cleanup lifelong allowances for athletes and coaches, IPN reports.

In a press release, the National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) noted that so far this month it has transferred about 1.650bn lei for paying pensions, allowances for temporary incapacity for work and other social benefits.

The recipients can collect the money through bank cards issued by FinComBank, Energbank, EuroCreditBank, Eximbank, Moldova-Agroindbank, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank, Comerțbank, Mobiasbanca, and Banca Comercială Română with which the CNAS has signed cooperation agreements.

If they do not have cards, they can collect the money from any post office, regardless of the place of domicile. Under the law, if the pensions, social assistance and cold-month allowances are not collected during six months, they are suspended, as are the monthly allowances intended for families with children, if they are not collected during three months.

The payment of pensions is resumed at the recipient’s request based on an application filed to the local house of social insurance and is paid retroactively, since it was suspended.
