1.6% inflation in October
In October the consumer prices have increased by 1.6% compared to those from September, including a 2.4% increase on food products, a 1.4% increase of prices for non-alimentary products and a 0.6% increase of services.
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the price increase in the mentioned period was caused by the price increase on certain alimentary products: eggs – 29.5%, fresh vegetables – 16.2% (including tomatoes – 88.9%), grapes – 9.1%, fresh fruits – 6.3% (including apples – 10.5%), potatoes, poultry – 3.3%, dairy products – 2.3% (including cow cheese – 5.2%, milk – 3.7% and cream – 2.9%).
From non-alimentary products prices increased for wool carpets – 3.9%, fuel – 2.1% (including coal – 5.1%), footwear – 2.0% (including winter shoes – 5.2%), cement and furniture – by 1.9% each, gold articles – 1.5%.
In the mentioned period the taxi fees have increased by 2.5% and the reparation costs have jumped by 1.2%.
In October the prices reduced for mild pepper – 3.1%, fresh fish – 1.4%, sugar – 0.8% and pork – 0.4%.
