The Republic of Moldova and the EBRD will sign a loan agreement for implementing the Moldova Roads Rehabilitation V program “Under the agreement, €150 million will be borrowed for repairing a number of road sectors. The Cabinet approved the signing of the agreement, IPN reports.
The €150 million loan represents 50% of the Moldova Roads Rehabilitation V program. The other part of the sum will be allocated by the European Investment Bank.
The money will be used to rehabilitate and modernize the M2 road, the Chisinau city belt road, sector 2, by extending this to four lanes, with an estimated length of 7 km. There will also be rehabilitated about 85 km of the M1 road – border with Romania – Leușeni – Chișinău – Dubăsari – border with Ukraine.
