15 young people enrolled in NBM’s Modern Finance School Program

Fifteen young people from the Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies (ASEM) have been selected by the National Bank of Moldova (NBM) as the first participants in the Modern Finance School Program, the inaugural edition. The program was launched in Chisinau during an event officiated by NBM governor Octavian Armașu.

The first edition of the Modern Finance School will run between July 22-30 and will offer participants a unique opportunity to combine academic experiences in the capital of Romania with cultural and historical activities both in Bucharest and in other Romanian cities, such as Iași, Brașov, Suceava and Sinaia.

The participants will meet the governor of the National Bank of Romania, Mugur Isărescu, and will listen to lectures given by experts from the National Bank of Romania in partnership with the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. Upon completion, the participants will receive a certificate signed by the governors of the National Bank of Moldova and the National Bank of Romania, as well as the rectors of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies and the Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies.

Octavian Armașu emphasized that the project aims to offer young people a unique academic and communication experience. “We want this program to be a special opportunity for you, the future or already beginning economists and financiers, to deepen your financial knowledge and professional orientation, as well as to advance your personal level of culture and financial competence”, the NBM governor addressed the participants.
