The second international judo tournament “Cup of Oleg Cretul” will be held at the Polyvalent School in Chisinau on October 14. This will involve about 300 athletes from 12 countries, IPN reports.

Four Olympic judo champions from Russia and France will be the invitees of honor of the cadets tournament. On October 15, they will give a masterclass to young judokas.

“The tournament will feature Taghir Haibulaev, Arsen Galstean and Manur Isaev, who are all Olympic champions of London, and France’s Djamel Bouras, an Olympic champion of Atlanta,” Paralympic champion Oleg Cretul told a news conference.

The president of the International Judo Federation Marius Vizer and president of the European Judo Union Sergei Soloveychik are also expected to come to the competition.
