10,000 consumers still in blackout this morning

Approximately 10,000 consumers weren’t supplied with electricity on Thursday morning. Failures in medium voltage power lines occurred owing to last night’s torrential rain and strong winds, IPN reports, quoting a press release issued by Premier Energy.

The Moldovan electric power system failed on Wednesday following attacks on Ukrainian electrical energy infrastructure. By Thursday morning, over 860,000 consumers in central and southern Moldova were reconnected to the electricity supply.

Premier Energy noted that it mobilized its accident response teams to identity the faults and restore the supply of power to the affected consumers.
