100 young Liberal Party representatives to run for local mayoralties
A number of 100 young members of the Liberal Party (PL) will compete for posts of mayor in the June 5 local elections, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the party.
”In 2007, Dorin Chirtoaca broke the ice and showed that the young people can build a career in politics. I assure you that he will win this year’s elections again. The Communists plunged the country into chaos. There are regions that are in a deplorable condition. Time has come for changes and for politicians with new mentality and managerial abilities,” the president of the PL Mihai Ghimpu said in a training seminar intended for the young Liberals who will run for local mayoralties.
The seminar took place during April 8-10. The project forms part of the PL’s activities aimed at supporting and promoting the youth in the sociopolitical life, it is said in the communiqué.
