After the processing of all the minutes, most votes for the position of mayor of the capital - 52.39% - have been accumulated by the candidate of the Socialist Party Ion Ceban. His opponent from ACUM electoral bloc, Andrei Năstase, obtained 47.61% of the votes of Chisinau dwellers, IPN reports.

According to the data of the Central Election Commission presented online, Ion Ceban was voted by 123 807 Chisinau dwellers, while Andrei Năstase - by 112 513.

In Chisinau municipality, the turnout in the second round of elections for the mayoral seat constituted almost 38%. Thus, over 240 thousand voters went to the polls.
