A 10-year old child drowned in a pond of Vasileuti village, Rascani. According to the Exceptional Situations Department, the girl went by herself on Sunday evening to take a bath and drowned. On the same evening, a man aged 49 asphyxiated in the lake of Cobusca Veche village, Anenii-Noi. His body was searched for many hours by the firemen and rescuers of Anenii-Noi. On Monday, another man aged 38 drowned in the lake of Ciobanovca village, Anenii-Noi. The victim was fishing when he decided to catch the fish with his bare hands. Diving for the fish, the man did not manage to get out of the water. 16 persons, including 7 children, drowned this summer.
