10 Chisinau streets will be fully repaired
Ten streets in Chisinau will be completely repaired within an infrastructure-related project that is to be launched by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The launch was agreed by the EBRD Director for Moldova Paul-Henri Forestier and Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca in a meeting on July 5, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Chisinau City Hall.
Under the project, there will be replaced the layer of asphalt and set up parking places. The sidewalks and street lighting system will be fully renovated.
The parties analyzed the projects implemented in concert during the last few years, including the modernization of SA Apa-Canal Chisinau and of the public transport in the capital city, within which there were bought 102 new trolleybuses for the Chisinau Electric Transport Company.
Paul-Henri Forestier approved of the way the given projects were implemented, saying the EBRD is interested in continuing cooperating with the Chisinau administration.
The total cost of the street repair project is about €10 million.
