Zubko will present ‘polished’ report, analysts
The prosecutor general will be questioned in an open-door meeting, but this is not a reason for joy as he will present a ‘polished’ report and will attack no one. Such an opinion was expressed by analysts invited to the program “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“I don’t think there are reasons for joy even if the meeting will be public. The prosecutor general can give names neither in an open or a closed meeting. The legislature understood it was no need to make the sitting secret,” said former Deputy Minister of Justice Gheorghe Susarenco.
The head of the Strategic Researches and Political Consultancy Center “Politicon” Anatol Taranu said that Vlad Filat is not naïve to accept a confrontation when the results cannot be predicted. “Despite the criticism and his past, Filat heads a coalition government. He became the central ‘piece’ in the relations with the foreign partners and has possibilities of maneuvering. I think the prosecutor’s report is only a stage,” he stated.
Political analyst Igor Botan said the prosecutor general will render a ‘polished’ report, will commend the institution he heads and will justify himself for certain deeds. “He will speak about the political interference. All the parliamentary groups should avoid destroying bridges. All the leaders understand that they should now maintain good relations with the other groups. There will be no radical changes until the elections. Many interesting things will happen after the elections,” he stressed.
The questioning of Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko is the only item in the agenda of the Parliament’s October 28 sitting that starts at 10am.
