The Party of Socialists’ candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau Zinaida Grecheanyi will not accept the invitation to take part in an electoral debate at the Chisinau Electric Transport Company, made by the Liberal candidate Dorin Chirtoaca. She made such an announcement in a press briefing on June 18, IPN reports.
“Chirtoaca is not the man who should arrange my agenda. I didn’t employ him as secretary,” stated Zinaida Grecheanyi. She invited the mass media to another briefing, at the Chisinau Bus Company, at the same hour at which the Liberal candidate invited her to the Chisinau Electric Transport Company.
Grecheanyi didn’t hesitate to make accusations against her opponent. “A sum of 120 million lei was spent on repairing the street Alecu Russo, which is 2.5 km in length. For comparison, 1 km of the Sarateni-Soroca road, built with money allocated by the U.S., cost 18 million lei. We will demand inventorying all the constructions in Chisinau so as to see how the public money was spent,” she stated.
Dorin Chirtoaca invited Zinaida Grecheanyi to a public debate on June 19, 10am, to present her plans for solving the problem of public transport in Chisinau.
