The Party of Socialists’ candidate for the mayoralty of Chisinau Zinaida Grecheanyi promises that she and the team of local Socialist councilors after June 28 will make effort to improve the living conditions and to ensure access to services of a high quality in the settlements that form part of Chisinau municipality. She said the accusations that she does not care about the suburban settlements are false and represent shameful lies, IPN reports.

The candidate said special attention will be paid to the large settlements from the composition of the municipality, such as Durlesti and Sangera, because these have great economic potential that is not realized. She promised that the access roads in the suburban settlements will be modernized and that public transport will be provided to them. The local roads there will be repaired and extended and will be lit.

The candidate noted that the allocations to the suburban settlements from the municipal budget will be increased
and by at least one modernization project in these villages will be supported annually. The social, medical, education and cultural services there will be improved.

Zinaida Grecheanyi said the current election campaign wasn’t a simple one and called on the residents of Chisinau not to remain indifferent and to decide the fate of the municipality by taking part in elections this Sunday.

In the second round of the mayoral elections in Chisinau on June 28, Zinaida Grecheanyi competes with Dorin Chirtoaca, of the Liberal Party.
