The striker of the national football team of Moldova Sergey Alexeev signed a one-year contract with Zimbru Chisinau following the expiration of his contract with Veris, IPN reports.
Alexeev was included in the lineup of Zimbru for the Europa League matches. On July 10, Zimbru will make effort to take revenge on Shkendija after suffering a 1-2 defeat. In Macedonia, striker Alexandru Grosu, who recently left FC Tiraspol, scored for Zimbru from a penalty kick. The return game between Zimbru and Shkendija will take place in Chisinau at 8am.
The same day, FC Tiraspol meets Inter in Baku. In the first-leg match, the Azeri team won by 3-2. Veris will play on the field of Litex Loveci. The first game between the two ended by 0-0.
The matches form part of the first qualifying round Europa League.
