Iurie Osipenco is no longer the coach of Zimbru. The administration of the football club decided to fire the 43-year-old coach after Zimbru finished the current national championship only eighth, IPN reports.

Under the guidance of Osipenco, Zimbru played 18 matches in the national football championship and the Cup, recording six victories, four draws and eight defeats. His assistants Valeriu Andronic and Valentin Zmeu also left Zimbru.

Iurie Osipenco also coached Rapid Ghidighici, Moldova U-19, Milsami Orhei and Petrocub Hancesti. With him, Rapid reached the final of Moldova’s Cup in 2012 and Milsami became a champion in 2015.
