Four days after being beaten by Sfîntul Gheorghe in the semifinals of the Football Cup, Zimbru suffered one more defeat at home to the team from Suruceni, this time as part of the sixth stage of the National Division, IPN reports.

Dan Pîslă scored for Zimbru in the 13th minute, but the guests replied four minutes later through Suvorov and Kirakosyan. Zimbru was led by coach Sorin Colceag even if this tendered his resignation several days earlier.

“I yesterday had a discussion with mister Nicolae Chernyi and decided to stay,” Sorin Colceag told a news conference.

The other three matches of the sixth stage ended as follows: Speranța - Petrocub 1-1, Dinamo-Auto - Milsami 0-0 and Sheriff - Codru 2-1.

In the rankings, Sheriff is two points ahead of Milsami. Speranța and Sfîntul Gheorghe have by 11 points, being followed by Dinamo-Auto, Petrocub, Codru, and Zimbru.
