Zimbru suffered a 1-2 defeat in the home match against FC Tiraspol of the 18th stage of the National Division. Before the pause, FC Tiraspol was leading by 2-0 after the goals scored by Georgi Karaneychev and Alexandru Grosu towards the end of the first half, IPN reports.
Zimbru fullback Constantin Bogdan took revenge in the 85th minute, reducing from the difference. Zimbru attacked in waves towards the end, but Cojocari hit the transversal bar for the second time in the match.
“I do not have what to reproach my pupils for. We didn’t have luck today,” Zimbru coach Oleg Kubarev said in a news conference. On the other side, FC Tiraspol coach Vlad Goian said his team deserved the victory.
In the other match played on December 3, FC Veris demolished Dinamo-Auto 5-0. Striker Mihai Turcan scored two goals in the second consecutive match. The other goals were scored by Novitski and Frunza, while Ciobanu scored a self-goal.
The following encounters will take place on December 4: FC Costuleni - Dacia, Olimpia - Milsami, Rapid – Speranta, and Sheriff - Academia. In the rankings, Sheriff has 44 points, by six more than FC Tiraspol and by eight more than Veris.
