Zimbru beat Milsami 2-0 two days after losing seven points based on a decision taken by the Competitions Committee of the Moldovan Football Federation, IPN reports.
Joao Teixeira opened the score in the 13th minute, while Ilie Damașcan set the final scoreline in the last minute, after transforming a penalty.
“We appealed the decision to take seven points away from us. We will see what happens the next days. The most important thing is for the struggle for the European cups to take place on the field,” Zimbru coach Sorin Colceag told a news conference.
The other three matches of the 22nd stage ended as follows: Sheriff - Petrocub 0-0, Dinamo-Auto - Sfântul Gheorghe 3-1 and Speranța - Zaria 1-2. Sheriff heads the rankings with 52 points, being followed by Milsami (38) and Petrocub (35). Zimbru ranks sixth with 21 points.
