An exchange of martishors and an action aimed at supporting the children deprived of books will take place on the first day of spring on the Alley of Romanian Writers located in the “Stefan cel Mare” Park. The action is organised by the “Ziarul de Garda” newspaper on the birth anniversary of the great narrator from Humulesti, Ion Creanga, celebrated on March 1. According to the organisers, those who will participate in the action can exchange martishors near the greatest writers of the nation and can participate in the lottery organised in collaboration with well-known workmanship masters. At the same time, in order to get children closer to the literature, especially those imprisoned in the detainment facility for minors in Lipcani, the organisers will collect books from the persons participating in the event. At present, the greatest part of the books belonging to the library of the detainment facility for minors in Lipcani are old, dating back from the soviet period. All the persons who have a martishor, a good book for teenagers, as well as interest to discuss about traditions and books are invited to participate in the action of “Ziarul de Garda”, which will take place on March 1 at 9.30. The interested persons will be able to gather at the monument of Ion Creanga located in the Alley of Romanian Writers in “Stefan cel Mare” Public Garden.
