Zaria Balti won 2-1 the first leg-match against Sarajevo of the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. The match was played at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau, IPN reports.
The team trained by Vlad Goian led 2-0 after the first half, owing to the goals scored by Zagynaylov (7th minute) and Ruben Gomez (33rd). Argentinian player Gomez scored from the middle of the field. Sarajevo set the final score in the 75th minute through Mihojevic.
“We were lucky in this match because the guests dominated almost throughout the second half. Everything will be decided in the return match in Bosnia,” Zaria coach Vlad Goian told a news conference.
The same evening, of June 29, Dacia was beaten in Macedonia by Shkendija 3-0, while Milsami lost in Luxemburg to Fola Esch 2-1. The goal for the “red eagles” was scored by Sergiu Platica.
