The mansion “Zamfir Arbore-Ralli” situated in Dolna village of Straseni district will not be leased out and no restaurant will be erected there, the Ministry of Culture said in a response to an inquiry of Communist MP Mihail Barbulat, IPN reports.
In the March 27 sitting of Parliament, the lawmaker said he possesses information that the property was to be leased out for a 49-year-old period to a person who wants to construct a restaurant there.
In the response published by the Ministry of Culture on its website, it is said that this lordly house is the branch of the Chisinau museum-house “A.S. Pushkin” that is managed by the Ministry and no actions to change the status or do something else can be taken without the institution’s consent. The mansion is a national archliberal monument included in the Register of State-Protected Monuments. Under the Law on Museums, the museum patrimony is inalienable.
The Ministry also says that it never received requests to lease out the Dolna mansion “Zamfir Arbore-Ralli”.
