Athlete Zalina Petrivskaya ranked 4th at the Doha World Championship. She obtained the result of 74.33 meters at hammer throw, IPN reports.

Zalina was defeated by the American DeAnna Price (77.54), the Polish Joanna Fiodorow (76.35) and the Chinese Wang Zheng (74.76). Dimitriana Surdu (weight throw), Alexandra Emilianov (discus throw) and Sergey Marghiev (hammer throw) will also compete in the World Cup in Doha.

Three of these four athletes qualified for the Tokyo Olympics: Zalina Petrivskaya, Dimitriana Surdu and Sergei Marghiev. Marathon runner Lilia Fisikovici, archer Alexandra Mârca, swimmer Tatiana Salcuțan and fighter Anastasia Nichita will also be allowed to participate in the next year's Olympics.
