Final year students, postgraduate students as well as fresh graduates are invited to apply for participation in a week-long training workshop and a bonus two-day Business Camp dedicated to those willing to start a business of their own. The events are organized by the student organization AIESEC within the framework of the ICO Project, Info-Prim Neo reports. ICO project coordinator Elena Rudoi told a press conference on Thursday that the workshop will be held during May 10-18. The trainees will obtain knowledge about the key elements of starting a business, including the development of business skills, human resource management, finance management, sales techniques and business communication. The workshop will be followed by a Business Camp, which is a novelty for the ICO Project. The Business Camp will be based on a British model, and will engage participants in a non-stop 48-hour event which will include discussing business ideas, consulting business professionals, formulating business plans and establishing contacts for potential partnerships, said Elena Rudoi. Tudor Tarlev, a participant in the last year's edition and currently a young businessman, says the workshop is an interactive instrument where trainees can learn from the experience of the local companies' top managers. The event also includes a simulation of a business to better understand decision-making practices. Previous activities under AIESEC's ICO Project helped young people establish successful businesses in the areas of programming, fashion, trade, human resources, etc. Applications can be made until April 28 using a form available at www.ico.md. 40 persons will be selected to participate. There is also a participation fee set at 40 euros. The ICO Project, themed “Lead your business idea to success”, was first held in the spring of 2008 by AIESEC Moldova. AIESEC is a leading world organization that aims to help young people develop and discover their potential to have a positive impact in society.
