Youth organizations can receive logistic and financial support from the state to implement youth initiatives and projects this year as well. The Ministry of Education and Research and the National Youth Agency launched the 2024 edition of the Grants Program for Youth Organizations, which is aimed at supporting and developing the youth sector in the Republic of Moldova. The support will be provided on a competitive basis, IPN reports.
Secretary of state of the Ministry of Education and Research Sergiu Gurin said the amount allocated for the Grants Program for Youth Organizations for 2024 totals 10 million lei. “We want the projects that will be submitted to be aligned with the priority directions stipulated in the 2030 Youth Development Strategy,” stated Sergiu Gurin
National Agency Youth director Ion Donea, said the competition is open to noncommercial youth organizations of Moldova which carry out projects and programs with an impact on young people, have co-financing and partnership agreements with different institutions and local or international donors and can make an own contribution of at least 20 percent of the project’s value.
Applicant organizations can submit projects with a maximum budget of 200,000 lei for local projects, 400,000 lei for regional projects and 600,000 lei for national projects. For national projects with sub-grants, the budget can be at most 1,000,000 lei.
