Youth learn to become leaders

Over 150 young persons participated in a large leadership conference in Chisinau, organized by AIESEC Moldova. They got to meet and communicate with six leaders from various domains, Info-Prim Neo reports. “It’s not that easy to be a leader. It requires work, perseverance and commitment. I found it useful to gather these youth, so that established leaders could share their experience and even inspire our young people”, project manager Eugenia Brasovschi said. Journalist Nata Albot, National Bank Governor Dorin Dragutanu, IT expert Vally Greavu, diplomat Jereme Mellentin, IMAS director Doru Petruti and blogger Ion Grosu attended the event. Dorin Dragutanu explained his achievements were the result of hard work and self-belief. He looked forward to sharing his experience with young people who could change the society for the better. Student Vlad Graur, one the participants, thanked the organizers for offering him the possibility to meet such important persons from Moldova. “Today’s event is a step towards the reevaluation of my own situation. I’m considering my achievements and how much I still have to work”, he said. “Leaders are those who learn from their own and from others’ mistakes. Leadership is a value that must be promoted by all means”, another participant, Vasile Chiriac said. The event was organized by AIESEC Moldova, world leader in developing young leaders. AIESEC is a worldwide apolitical, independent, nonprofit organization, founded in 1999. It currently has over 100 members.
