Youth Days will not be marked by pandemic flu
The Youth Days will not be marked by pandemic flu. All the activities planned by the Ministry of Youth and Sport will be carried out according to the initial program. If the pandemic flu situation worsens, some of the events will be postponed, said Minister of Youth and Sport Ion Ceban, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The pandemic flu situation is currently under control. All the activities, concerts, roundtable meetings and fairs will be held as planned. In case of certain changes in the situation, only some of them will be proponed,” the minister said in a news conference on November 9.
“The Youth for Europe” is this year’s theme of the Youth Days celebrated during November 8-18, between the Youth Day and the Student Day (November 17). The program includes a series of activities designed to develop the creative and intellectual potential of the youth, to facilitate their socio-economic integration, Ion Ceban said.
Online contests of photographs, thematic discussions, roundtable meetings and sports competitions will be held all over the country. The National Employment Agency will organize job fairs for the youth on November 12.
On November 17, there will be awarded the Youth Prize in Literature and Arts. On the occasion of the Student Day, national and foreign starts will give a concert in the National Opera House square starting at 17.00.
The Youth Days will end on November 18 with an international exhibition by young designers that will be staged as part of the National Fashion Festival “Art Podium” at the International Exhibitions Center “Moldexpo, starting at 11.00. A Chisinau recreational center will host the New Students Ball starting at 20.00.
The Youth Days have been celebrated in Moldova since 1999.
