Youth Awards handed over

The young people are probably most open to changes in the country. They are a source of energy and courage. The young generation is also a reliable ally in the European integration process, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said in the Youth Award Gala 2014 that was held at the Palace of the Republic in the evening of November 12, IPN reports.

The awardees in the “Civic Activism” category were the Moldovan Club of Mind Games and young entrepreneur, researcher and writer Alexandr Ishchenko.

In “Literature and Art”, the awards were given to Diana Valuta for the musical album “The song is my life” and to Sergiu Cogut for two works – “Dialogism: Polyphony, Carnival-like” and pages for “Romanian Textential” universe.

The awards in “Science and Technique” were conferred on Oleg Palamarciuc for the series of works “Activation of organic reactive substances by coordination for the synthesis of innovative materials”, and on Victoria Vudu for scientific researches into mouth diseases in children with diabetes.

Awards were also offered to the Local Children’s and Youth Council of Chisinau municipality and the Soroca-based Resource Center for Youth Dacia. The prize “Youth Specialist 2014” was taken by Tatiana Lazar, senior specialist in the area of youth and sport at the Ungheni Education Division, and by Svetlana Bodiştean, youth specialist from Varnita, Anenii Noi.

Sangerei town was chosen to be the Capital of Youth in 2015. Minister of Youth and Sport Octavian Bodisteanu handed over the title for Sangerei and thanked the Government for approving the youth strategy.

Every laureate received by a trophy, a diploma and a money award of 12,000 lei.
