A 27-year-old woman from the Transnistrian region died after catching the novel coronavirus. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection said that it was informed about this case by the Transnistrian authorities, but details about it will be provided later, IPN reports.

The de facto ministry of home affairs in Tiraspol said the young woman was in critical condition. She had bilateral pneumonia and renal insufficiency.

According to the Transnistrian authorities, 32 persons with COVID-19 are now receiving treatment at the hospital in Slobozia.

As many as 591 cases of infection with COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova so far. The novel coronavirus disease claimed ten lives, three of which in the Transnistrian region.
