The 21-year-old woman from Comrat who a year ago killed her mother with special cruelty will not stay in jail. The Comrat Court found her guilty of murder, but absolved her of criminal punishment, ordering to place her in a psychiatric hospital, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said the judgment was pronounced on November 29. The young woman was found guilty of murdering a family member with special cruelty, but the expert commission found she lacked competency.
Following the judgment passed by the court, the woman was taken to the Chisinau Clinical Psychiatric Hospital. The measure will be changed or extended based on an examination performed at least once in six months.
As a resuts of a conflict with her 40-year-old mother who had recently returned from abroad, the culprit stabbed the woman with a knife for several times. The woman died as a result of her injuries.
