A young woman might be imprisoned for 7 years or pay a fine of MDL 40 thousand for a shirt she stole from the “Unic” store. The woman aged 26 stole the dress shirt priced MDL 180 and caught later when the shirt was already in her purse. The theft was noticed by a seller who pushed the security button. The officers of the State Security Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs arrested the woman at the first floor of the store. During investigations, the woman said she was accompanied by a friend who was looking for a present for her boyfriend. The suspect claimed she took the shirt only because she wanted to show her the option of a shirt. The statement did not convince the policemen. Penal proceedings were initiated on this case.
