The six months pregnant 19-year-old girl, who got into a ride car on a street in Orhei on April 12, was found dead in a wooded strip, about 21 kilometers from Chițcanii Vechi village of Telenesti Telenești. The announcement was made by the police after dozens of people mobilized today to look for her near the locality where the suspect is from, IPN reports.

“During the massive actions taken by police and civil society, police officers unfortunately have found the body of a young woman with signs and clothing similar to the 19-year-old girl who disappeared in Orhei. The body was found in a wooded area about 21 kilometers from Chițcanii Vechi of Telenești district,” said the General Police Inspectorate.

The 19-year-old girl is from a village in Orhei. On April 12, around 9 p.m., she got into a car on August 31 Street in Orhei and left in an unknown direction. After 4 days after the girl's disappearance, the car was located and the driver – found. The 45-year-old man was detained for 72 hours and later placed in custody. According to the IGP, the suspect, who is a former policeman, is not cooperating with the investigation.

The 19-year-old girl was from a locality of Orhei. On April 12, at around 9 p.m., she got into a car on August 31 Street in Orhei and left in an unknown direction. In four days of the girl’s disappearance, the car was located. The driver was identified after the police stopped and checked each car of the same make.

During this period, the girl has been searched, including with drones, in all forest strips, ponds, abandoned buildings and unpopulated places, tire repair shops, car washes, sheepfolds and other locations. The police seized dozens of video images from various surveillance cameras that have already been analyzed, but the time when the circumstances would be clear has not yet been determined.

On Friday evening, the police called on the citizens, especially women, to urgently notify the law enforcement agencies if they had any contact with the suspect. Several photos of the former policeman were published. During searches at his home and in his car, a number of items intended for women were found.

Today, the police, together with dozens of volunteers, carried out a large-scale search in Telenești district, where the suspect lives.
