Young woman creates pictures despite deformed articulations

Olga Carnat is a young woman who is helped by the beauty to fight with the disease and to hope for a better future. She creates pictures of beads, oyster shells and broken glass even if her articulations are almost all deformed. “Now I move in a wheelchair, but earlier was confined to bed. I then decided to make something beautiful,” said the artist, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
“I made a picture from beads and called it “Constellation”. I liked it and started the second. Over 12 years, I made 70 pictures. Six of them are part of private collections abroad. Some of my works hang on walls inside state institutions. They were bought by government officials at my exhibitions,” said the young woman.
Olga works on a picture for one to six months. “I sell the pictures in order to earn my living, but do not manage to cover the treatment costs. Unfortunately, my condition worsened and I do not feel so well the elements of my works. My fingers become stiff, but I hope the treatment will have an effect,” said the artist.
Olga Carnat stated that acquaintances of her can order a certain picture, but most of her works are the result of her own imagination and inspiration.
Recently, the artist staged her fifth exhibition that included 26 pictures. Two of them were purchased.
