A young woman faces up to two years in prison for stealing a wallet. The incident happened in a minibus running on route in Chisinau. The woman was taken to the police station by policemen who were traveling in the same minibus, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the head of the General Police Commissariat's press office Adrian Jomir, the young woman is the mother of two children. She told the police officers she needed money in order to renew her identity card. The woman earlier served one year and eight months in jail for similar offenses. She is now liable to a fine of up to 6,000 lei, 120 to 240 hours of community service or up to two years' imprisonment.
