Young volunteers inform villagers about benefits of association with EU

A group of about 300 young volunteers is carrying out a campaign to inform the rural population about the benefits Moldova will enjoy as a result of the European integration, IPN reports.

The campaign entitled “The future is bright” is organized by the Civic Movement “Moldova’s Young People” that was founded in March. The young volunteers do not hold discussions only, but also carry out charitable activities such as book donations, cleanup events and provision of assistance to socially deprived families.

The first stage of the campaign “The future is bright” has been held this week in southern Moldova. On Sunday, July 6, a bus with 50 young volunteers will travel to the southeastern districts. The next trips will be made to Ungheni, Briceni, Soroca, and Rezina. The volunteers’ bus will stop in all the settlements on the route.

According to the co-chairman of the Movement “Moldova’s Young People” Dinu Plangau, by the own example, the volunteers will show to the people that things around can be improved. “We will make effort to restore the visited families’ hope in a better live. Only we, the young people, are the promoters of the sincere and viable development of our nation,” he stated.
