The final of the national contest of young traffic police officers involving students will take place in Ungheni town on Saturday, May 15. Paulina Iakimovski, of the Traffic Police Division's PR department, told Info-Prim Neo that the best eight teams went through to the final after passing the local, district and zonal stages. The teams are from Chisinau, Balti, Straseni, Hancesti,Ungheni, Cahul, and Glodeni. A jury will assess the students' knowledge of the traffic rules and their performance in such events as cycling, first aid giving and provision of assistance in road accidents. There will be also held the captains' contest and the contest for the best wall newspaper. The winning teams will receive valuable prices provided by the sponsors of the contest. The national contest of young traffic police officers is organized by the Traffic Police Division, the Union of Motorists, and Automobil-Club Moldova.
