Young physicians from Moldova won two bronze medals at IPhO
The representatives of Moldova won two bronze medals and an honourable mention at the XXXVIII International Physics Olympiad held this year in Iran.
The Moldova team included 5 students from the XI and XII grades. The winners are the representatives of the following lyceums: “N. Milescu Spataru”, “M. Eliade” and Moldovan-Turkish Lyceum, all from Chisinau.
“We are glad that we have good results this year at the international Physics Olympiad. We will analyse the obtained results and will draw the adequate conclusions in order to improve the potential of the team by a more rigorous grounding”, the instructor of the team, university teacher Igor Evtodiev said.
The International Physics Olympiad 2007 was attended by 327 representatives from 73 countries. They showed their theoretical knowledge and experimental abilities in different fields of physics.
